James Palmer

     James Palmer was born say 1781 Buckingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Nixon Palmer and Mary Beasley. James and Sophia Bruce, daughter of John Bruce and Elizabeth Clay, were married circa 1808 Kentucky Did these two elope? I have found no bond, license, nor return anywhere in Kentucky.¹ James and Nancy Jefferson were married 31 October 1828 Mercer County, Kentucky. James Palmer died before 8 December 1845, Boone County, Missouri.
     He left a will on 5 March 1837
