Rebecca Bruce was born on 6 October 1792 Garrard County, Kentucky, then Madison County.¹ She was the daughter of John Bruce and Elizabeth Clay.¹ Rebecca and Burton Palmer, son of Nixon Palmer and Mary Beasley, were married 10 February 1814 Garrard County, Kentucky.²

A marriage bond was executed for Rebecca and Burton Palmer dated on 9 February 1814 Garrard County, Kentucky. The bond was signed by Burton Palmore to Rebecca Bruce, Bond, John Bruce, Return, Levi Baldock.³ Rebecca Bruce died 2 March 1846, Lincoln County, Missouri at age 53 years, 4 months and 24 days¹ and was buried Palmer Cemetery, Eversmeyer farm near Silex MO TWN 50 N R1W survey 1745 sect 17., Lincoln County, Missouri.⁴
