The grave marker has "died Aug 23, 1853, age about 40 years."2,3 James and Mary Ann Palmer, daughter of James Palmer and Sophia Bruce, were married 6 May 1832 Boone County, Missouri, There is a Boone County record:
"State of Missouri, County of Boone:
I do hereby certify that on the 6th day of May in the year of our Lord 1832 that I the undersigned Justice [....] for the County af I did join together in the bonds of matrimony James Jefferson and Polly [?] Palmer both of the County aforesaid and state of Missouri given under my hand this 19th day of July 1832."
