Burton Allen Fentem entered into rest on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Emanuel Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
A few of Mr. Fentem's hobbies included woodworking, fishing and going to the casinos. Burt was a hardcore, avid Giants fan and a member of the American Legion in Turlock.
Burt Fentem served in the Army Air Corp as a pilot from 1942 to 1947 and was honorably discharged at the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Emanuel, P.O. Box 819005, Turlock, California 95381.
Survivors include his daughter, Glady (Mike) Childres; grandchildren, Bryan (Tracy) Childres, Amanda (Michael) Sutton; and five great grandchildren.
Burt is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Maurine Fentem.
Services at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 12:30 pm.1
Burton and Maurine had one child, Gladice Louise.
