The Reverend Charles Clay was born on 31 January 1715/16 Virginia.2 He was the son of Henry Clay and Mary Mitchell.2 Charles and Martha Green, daughter of Thomas Green and Elizabeth Marston, were married between 11 November 1740 and 1741 Amelia County, Virginia. The Reverend Charles Clay died 25 February 1789, Powhatan County, Virginia at age 73 years and 22 days.
