Resident of Gustine Dies after Illness
Susan Ellen Fentem, 81, sucumbed yesterday in her home in Gustine after an illness of four months.
A native of Troy, Mo., Mrs. Fentem came to California in 1885 and had resided in Stanislaus and Merced counties ever since. she leaves three children, Mrs. Carl Mohs of Turlock and Mrs Elburta Hansen and Ben Fentem of Gustine. Two grandchildren, Alda Clare Morganti and Beverly Hansen, live in Gustine; a granddaughter, Virginia Bell, makes her home in Los Angeles, and a grandson, Burton Fentem is an air force cadet in San Antonio, Texas.
A brother and sister in Missouri survive also.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 P.M. in the Davis Funeral Parlors in Gustine. Rev. Stewart Potter of Monterey will officiate. and was buried on 27 November 1943 Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman, Stanislaus County, California. Birth: unknown Death: Nov. 25, 1943
