John Povall was born in 1683/84 Henrico County, Virginia. He was the son of Robert Povall and Elizabeth Hooker. John and Elizabeth Woodson, daughter of Robert Woodson and Sarah Lewis, were married before 1703.2 John Povall died before 10 October 1764 John Poval, decd, will of; offered to probate by Danl. Price one of the executors, and proved by the oath of Robert Poval, one of the witnesses, Certificate of probate granted and he gives bond - Richard Randolph & Jos Lewis, Gent. being security. Rec 2 Jun 1766. wills p 577
