He was the son of John Henry Palmer and Catherine Nowlin Graves.2 Marion and Josephine E Porter were married 5 March 1874 Marion Palmer & Josephine Porter, m 5 Mar 1874 at the house of Stephen Porter; James Magers, M. G. Wit: R. C. Gibson & L. E. Armstrong. Consent of John H Palmer and E. N. Palmer #1644 pg 90 & Bk 1 pg 151.3 Marion Palmer died 19 October 1930, Marion County, Oregon at age 75 years, 6 months and 18 days.2
     He has been called Dick.
