     Clare Barrymore Palmer was born on 29 October 1911. He was the son of Ernest Stephen Palmer and Alma Grace S Ruble. Clare and Grace K Benson were married 9 October 1933 Vancouver, Clark County, Washington, Both are listed as "of Marion County, Oregon." Witnesses include (Mrs E S) Grace Palmer and Frank E Vaughan.1 Clare and Grace E Haneke were married circa 28 August 1942 Portland, Oregon, A marriage license is reported in the Oregonian, 28 Aug 1942, shows:

Clare Barrymoore Palmer, a coder for Oregon Steel Co. for 27 years, died of a heart attack Monday in his home at 2055 SW 85th Ave. He was 61.

Mr. Palmer, a Portland resident since 1942, was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Silverton. He was a member of United Steel Workers Union Local 3010 and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 142.

Survivors include his wife, Grace; daughters, Donna Palmer, New Orleans, and Joan Trickle, Portland; sister, Jeanne Palmer, Portland; brother Marion Palmer, Salem.

Funeral will be at 2p.m. Wednesday in the Pegg, Paxson and Springer Chapel, Beaverton, with interment in Skyline Memorial Gardens.4 and was buried on 11 April 1973 Skyline Memorial Gardens, Portland, Oregon.
     He served 27 Jul 1943 to about 1945. Clare and Grace had two children, Donna and Joan.
