Hiram P Graves

     Hiram P Graves was born on 22 January 1845 Missouri. He was the son of Payton Graves and Patsy Palmer. Hiram P Graves died 13 September 1862 at age 17 years, 7 months and 22 days, There are confederate records indicating one "Ivan P. Graves", "Hiram G Graves" and "Hiram P. Graves" who enlisted at Ft Hebert, TX, by Lt. Barton, died of disease in hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. This person, on one report is stated to have been born in Kentucky. So, it may or may not be "our" Hiram.
     He served as a Confederate soldier, according to one source: Name: Hiram Graves Side Served: Confederacy State Served: Texas Service Record: Enlisted as a Private.
Enlisted in Company C, 10th Infantry Regiment Texas.
