Newman, Nov. 8 -- Last rites were held Monday afternoon for Roy albro Fentam, 62, who died in a local hospital Saturday following a long illness.
Christian Science services were in charge of Mrs. M. Whitney of Gustine and Jean Grischott sang two selections,accompanied by Mrs. Adoph Kiersch. Interment was in the family plot in the Citizens Cemetery in Modesto.
The pallbearers were Ben Savage, Arch Stevinson, Ralph Crow, Russil Hunt, John Moorehead, and William Miller.
Fentem ws born in this vicinity long before the founding of the City of Newman, his parnts having been among the first settlers here. He, himself, was a retired farmer.
Surviving are a widow, Irene; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Mohr of Turlock and Mrs. Ed Hansen of Gustine, and one brother, B. F. Fentem of Newman.
