     Virginia Etta Fentem was born on 31 August 1919 Newman, Stanislaus County, California.1,2 She was the daughter of Hiram Palmer Fentem and Rosa Belle Hamilton.1 Virginia and Steven Douglas Bell were married 20 January 1939 Bell, Los Angeles County, California.1 Virginia Etta Fentem died 27 April 2005, in Modesto, California at age 85 years, 7 months and 26 days.2

Virginia E. Fentem Bell, 85, of Gustine died Wednesday at Doctors Medical Center, Modesto.

Mrs. Bell was a native of Newman and lived in Gustine for 68years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Grange 79 of Los Banos, the Native Daughters and the Farm Bureau, and volunteered with Angels on Wheels.

She is survived by her children, Steve Bell of Gustine and Charolette Rebal of Costa Mesa; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, S. Douglas Bell.

Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Gustine. A funeral will be at 10a.m. Monday at the chapel, with burial at Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman.3
