She died July 16 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. She was 76. She was a native of Newman and the owner of a dress shop in that city. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church, SES, SPRSI, IDES, and 50-Plus of Newman. A rosary was held Friday evening at St. Joachim's, where a Mass was celebrated Saturday morning. Burial was in Hills Ferry Cemetery. Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Alfred "Bush" Rose of Newman; children Robert Morganti and Dennis Rose, both of Newman, and Betty Morganti and Maryann Rose, both of Modesto; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Berton Fentem of Stevinson. Remembrances should be sent to the Newman Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 787, Newman, Calif. 95360.
