Stephen Woodson Trent was born on 20 January 1769 Auburn, Cumberland County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Alexander Trent and Elizabeth Woodson. Stephen and Elizabeth Bassett Coupland were married 12 November 1794.1 Stephen Woodson Trent died 12 March 1853, in Bon Brook, Cumberland County, Virginia at age 84 years, 1 month and 20 days.1
