Adam Settlemier was born on 4 April 1830 Jersey, Illinois. Strange. DC gives Adam's birthplace as "Germany" on son Thos Jefferson's DC -- Margaret Settlemier was the informant. First "Oregon" then crossed out and replaced with "Germany."1,2 He was the son of George Settlemire.1 Adam Settlemier died 3 March 1899, Linn County, Oregon at age 68 years, 10 months and 27 days.2
