Martha Palmer

     Martha Palmer was born on 12 November 1858 Marion County, Oregon. She was the daughter of John Henry Palmer and Catherine Nowlin Graves. Martha and Henry Claudfield were married 10 July 1877 Henry Claudfield, over 21 & Martha J. Palmer, over 18, m 10 July 1877 at the house of John Palmer; David Brower, M.G. Wit: Henry Slough & John Palmer. Aff. James C. Brown #2054 pg 336.¹ Martha and Thomas J. Davis were married 20 November 1878 Marion County, Oregon, Thomas J Davis, over 21 & Martha Palmer, over 18, m 17 Nov 1878 at house of John H. Palmer; Benj. Cleaver, J. P. Wit: John P Graves & C. P. Glover #2233 pg 515.

Interesting that on sister Brunetta (Palmer) McKee's marriage to Monroe Cleaver, 21 Mar 1880, the witnesses were M Palmer and T J Davis.² Martha Palmer died 30 April 1883, Marion County, Oregon at age 24 years, 5 months and 18 days. She was buried Miller Cemetery, Marion County, Oregon.
     She has been called Mattie.
