He is listed as "single" on his Death Certificate, and the informant is his sister, Emma Higginbotham, of Lancaster, Kentucky.3 He died 17 September 1922, in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky at age 53 years and 11 months, Single, hardware merchant. Died of Carcenoma of the Pancreas. Buried Lancaster, Kentucky.4 His estate was probated on 5 October 1922 His sister, Emma Higginbotham, was named executor of his will. He was listed as Geoge W Palmer on the document.5
