     William Graves was born on 13 July 1792 Virginia. He was the son of Peyton Graves and Charlotte Pinckard. William and Lucy Berger, daughter of Jacob Berger and Catherine Nowlin, were married 12 May 1818 Pittsylvania County, Virginia. William Graves died 28 July 1841, Montgomery County, Missouri at age 49 years and 15 days.
     He owned property 320 acres in Montgomery County, Missouri, cash sales of public lands to William Graves.
