     Edward Graves was born on 3 July 1859 Graves Butte, Marion County, Oregon. He was the son of John Pinkard Graves and Maria Glover. Edward and Etta Githens were married 11 January 1883 Estacada, Oregon.1 Edward Graves died 22 November 1930, in Mount Pleasant, Marion County, Oregon at age 71 years, 4 months and 19 days.2

OREGON CITY, Or., Nov. 22- (Special.)- Edward Graves, 71, a native of Oregon, died today at his home at Mount Pleasant. He was born July 3, 1859, at Graves butte, where Mount Angel college now stands. He was a son of John P. and Maria Graves, who crossed the plains to Oregon in 1849 and settled at Mount Angel. They later sold part of their farm to the Roman Catholic church.

Edward Graves and ETTA GITHENS were married at Estacada in 1883. The widow and four children survive. Two sons are Grover and John Graves of Oregon City, and the two daughters are Mrs. Lela Bradford of Oregon City and Mrs. Leona King of Seattle.

Funeral services will be held Monday. The Odd Fellows' lodge will have charge of services at the graveside at Mountain View cemetery.2 He was buried after 22 November 1930 Mountain View Cemetery, Oregon City, Clackamas County, Oregon.2
