Jane Jett Graves was born on 8 June 1827 Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of William Graves and Lucy Berger. Jane Jett Graves married William Glover, son of Philip Glover and Sarah Koontz, 17 October 1843 Montgomery County, Missouri.1 Jane Jett Graves died 31 December 1876 , Marion County, Oregon at age 49. She was buried on 12 January 1877 Gibson Cemetery, Marion County, Oregon; Buried in Gibson Cemetery with one of Palmer children. Graves have been removed to other cemeteries (where?).
As of 17 October 1843,her married name was Glover (Graves). She was educated St. Louis, Missouri; It is likely that due to the early death of their mother, she and Catherine were sent to some kind of boarding school. There is no documentation of this to date, other than the “family tradition” that John Henry Palmer met Catherine when they were at school. However, the extremely brief mention of both Jette and Catherine in cousin David's book indicates they weren't around the neighborhood as the boys were. Jane and William had no documented children.

From Bancroft: "William Glover settled in Marion County. Mrs. Jane Jett Graves Glover was born in Pittsylvania Co., Va., in 1827, removed with her parents to missouri in 1830, and was married to William Glover in 1843, with whom she came to Oregon in 1847. She died Dec. 31, 1876. I[nterre]d., Jan. 12, 1877."2 Jane Jett Graves and William Glover immigrated from from Missouri. They took up land in Marion County, Oregon. Jane got the east half of a section, Wm got the west half. in 1847 to Marion County, Oregon.
