     Alda Clare Fentem was born on 21 July 1920 Stanislaus County, California.1 She was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Fentem and Gladys A Wright.1 Alda and Elmo Morganti were married circa 13 February 1942. Alda Clare Fentem died 16 July 1997, Stanislaus County, California at age 76 years, 11 months and 25 days.1

Rose Alda C 970722 p3 Alda Clare Rose, 76; Final rites were held late last week in Newman for Alda Clare Rose who was well known on the West Side. She died July 16 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. She was 76. She was a native of Newman and the owner of a dress shop in that city. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church, SES, SPRSI, IDES, and 50-Plus of Newman. A rosary was held Friday evening at St. Joachim's, where a Mass was celebrated Saturday morning. Burial was in Hills Ferry Cemetery. Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Alfred "Bush" Rose of Newman; children Robert Morganti and Dennis Rose, both of Newman, and Betty Morganti and Maryann Rose, both of Modesto; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother, Berton Fentem of Stevinson. Remembrances should be sent to the Newman Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 787, Newman, Calif. 95360.

July 21, 1920 -- July 16, 1997 Alda Clare Rose, 76, of Newman died Wednesday at Doctors Medical Center, Modesto. Mrs. Rose was a native and lifelong resident of Newman. She was the owner of a dress shop. She was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church, SES, SPRSI and IDES. She was also a member of 50 Plus. She is survived by her husband, Alfred "Bush" Rose of Newman; children, Robert Morganti and Dennis Rose, both of Newman, and Betty Morganti and Maryann Rose, both of Modesto; brother, Burton Fentem of Stevinson; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Mass will be said today at 9 a.m. at St. Joachim's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery. Hillview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
