     Oscar William Dunford was born on 1 January 1889 Davis Creek Valley, Valley County, Nebraska.1 Oscar married Nellie Pearl Palmer, daughter of Henry Laramie Palmer and Charlotte Ellen Parks, 24 May 1911 Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon, "Oscar W Dunford of Jacksonville and Miss Nellie Palmer of Ashland were married by the Rev. Mr. Herrold, of Salem, at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. H J Boyd, in Ashland. They will live in Jacksonville."2,3
Oscar William Dunford died 20 January 1960, in Flagstaff, Coconino County, Arizona at age 71 years and 19 days.4 Hepatitis & Cirrhosis.4

Oregon Rites Set for Man's Father
Funeral services are expected to be held Monday in Medford, Ore., for Oscar William Dunford, 71, who died Wednesday morning in Flagstaff hospital The body was sent there Thursday night.
The deceased was the father of LeVon P. Dunford, forest engineer for Southwest Forest Industries, Inc.
Born Jan. 1, 1889 in Loup city, Nebr. Mr. dunford had spent the greater part of his life in Medford going there in 1893. With his wife Nellie, he came her to spend the Christmas holidays with his son and wife and family, and became ill while here. He and his wife had been here more than a month.
Other survivors are a brother Charles Dunford, Little Aplegate [SIC], Ore, two sisters, Mrs. Floss D. Monroe, Medford, and Mrs. Frances Olsen, Eugene, Three grandchildren all of Flagstaff, Kristin, Bruce, and Patricia, and his daughter-in-law Mrs. L. P. Dunford who teaches home economics at Flagstaff High School.5 Ike was buried Pioneer Cemetery, Jacksonville, Oregon.
     He has been called Ike. He was Butcher, Deputy Sheriff, Jailer, Farmer.
