     Bryan Ward Nowlin was born on 8 October 1768. He was the son of Bryan Ward Nowlin and Lucy Wade. Bryan and Elizabeth Townsend were married 12 February 1787 Pittsylvania County, Virginia, To date have not found a first generation reference to this marriage. Betty allegedly was mentioned in her mother's will (Anaphildea Watson Townsend) but no source given.1 Bryan Ward Nowlin died 13 June 1835, Marshall County, Tennessee at age 66 years, 8 months and 5 days.
