Colton News, pg 3

Word was received Wednesday, just before going to press, of the death that morning of James W. Parks at his farm home south of town. He suffered a heart attack last summer and had been in poor health ever since, suffering much pain, and the past few weeks gradually grew worse, until the Angel of Death brought relief from his pain. He was sitting at the table when death came.
Surviving him are his widow; three small sons; his mother, Mrs. Mary Parks of Clarkston, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Jones. To the bereaved family we join their many friends in extending sincere sympathy in their hour of sorrow.
Funeral services will be held at Clarkston but at this writing no definite time has been set.
